"Had an awesome time at Barcelo Bavaro palace. This place is huge with many activities for you to enjoy. The Golf course is top notch, a great course for any level player. The room was amazing with a great layout basically a two bedroom unit with a really nice bathroom, fridge and 2 balconies . There are many bars throughout the complex, my favorite was the Bambu bar, Leonida and her staff(Luz, Jaritza & Everson) treated my family and I like royalty. From the early cup of Coffey to the late afternoon perfectly mixed cocktails. Bambu bar is a hidden Gem, truly recommend it. Then there're the many pools, all are wonderful and very spacious the animation crew kept the animations going all day. Had a chance to go on sail boat with Jose and Rodolfo nice time at the natural pool and watching the dolphins. Ninafel helped us tremendously with arranging our reservations Over all impressed with Barcelo Bavaro palace, will return soon. Let me not forget all the really good restaurants on premise. The Spanish restaurant was our favorite. Valentina was amazing accommodating our large group on a very short notice. Thank you Valentina."
"This vacation was the worst experience ever. We are extremely disappointed! The food was awful, the drinks were very bad, the service was very poor. Barcelo Bavoro Palace has the most unfriendly staff. They ignore their guests, maybe because most of them do not speak English, and this makes it difficult to order food or get any help. The worst part was when we found out that some of our clothes were stolen from the cleaning staff on the second day. We did the report for the stolen personal items and clothes and I was told that security will come to the room but no one ever came. The lady at concierge whom I left the report with kept saying 'it's okay' - and it definitely was not okay by us. We did not feel safe at all! Management did not care! And on top of it all, the dress I wore the night before our last was missing after the housekeeper cleaned the room the next day - How could this happen on the second AND sixth day!? It was a horrible time, and I really hope this makes a difference and somebody takes charge of the place and makes it into a real resort! P.S: I spoke to a lady on the airplane on the way back home and she told me she heard about the stuff stealing, so they kept everything in their suitcases and locked them every time they went out of the room. I wish I knew this before even we booked this hotel! The room was 5230 and the dates: June 02 and June 06, 2022."

"We 10/10 would recommend visiting Secrets Cap Cana! 

We celebrated our honeymoon at the resort and had an incredible experience. The views, the food/beverages, the service staff, and our personal concierge Osvaldo, everything was exceptional! 

Arrival: 
We scheduled a private pickup from the Airport through Amstar. Highly recommend doing this. There are a lot of vendors at the airport trying to get you to drive with them. The Amstar staff had a sign for us and brought us right to the van. Direct drop off at the resort. Very secure entry point with a gate and a security guard checking in everyone who wishes to enter. Your name will be on a list which will then allow you access. The crew on-site grabs your bags and brings them to your room. 

Beach/Ocean: 
See attached photos. White sand beautiful view of the ocean. Great sunrise beach! Pretty large area for a resort beach as well. Some people mention concerns about sea****. We went in prime sea**** season, and it was not that bad. The crew on-site cleans all of the sea**** up in the morning and continues removing throughout the day. There is a barrier out in the ocean a couple hundred yards out that blocks additional sea**** from coming in. Water is bright blue when the sun shines on it. Good amount of fish swimming around the area. 

Concierge: 
AMAZING! We had Osvaldo as our personal concierge and we have nothing but good things to say about him. He text us early every morning to give us the run down of all the activities that were happening on the resort that day. He always made a point to find us on the resort during the day to check in and make sure we didn't need anything. He surprised us a few times in the room with flowers, champagne, desserts, a honeymoon sign, pool floats, etc. Above and beyond the entire time we were there. It really felt like we built a relationship with him. Extremely positive attitude and great energy the whole time. Answered every question we had! If you get the chance, you need to request Osvaldo as your concierge. He will add so much to your vacation!!

Food/Beverage:
Great! The amount of choices they have at the resort is awesome. We stayed for 10 days and did not get sick of the food at all. The quality and effort put into each dish is very noticeable. It all tastes great. We loved the Oceana Seafood Restaurant, Sushi Restaurant, and French Restaurant. The resort also has a grill restaurant (burgers/steak), Mexican restaurant, Italian restaurant, coffee shop (amazing), market cafe, and a few other locations. Room service was good too! Drinks were great. Multiple bars on the beach, throughout the resort, and in/next to the pools. Highly recommend the "Dirty Monkey" and their margaritas. You can request specific alcohol in your drinks (doesn't happen at all resorts), and they are made pretty strong! 
 Maintenance:
We had one small issue when we returned to our room one night. There was a cockroach on the floor. We reported it to the cleaning/maintenance staff an"
"This hotel is very high end resort. There was live music every day, a great variety of restaurants to choose from, very nice and clean gym with bottled water, and a coffee shop open 24 hours. All of the staff was super friendly and helpful. Great views everywhere and lots of great drinks. I recommend it to everyone that wants a place to have a quiet area and a little bit of live music at night. it was a perfect balance between the two for me. Everything was super clean and I got a great deal from Trip.com. I hope to go again."
